Citizenship and Immigration Canada hosts a forum on biometrics in Ottawa, Ont., October 7–8, 2003.

In this October 7th session, Alan M. Dershowitz, a professor of law at Harvard University, discusses the development and implementation of a national identity card. Mr. Dershowitz’s remarks focus on issues such as data sharing, verification strategies, and the right of individuals to refuse to be identified.
