Citizenship and Immigration Canada hosts a forum on biometrics in Ottawa, Ont., October 7–8, 2003.

In this October 8th session, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Denis Coderre delivers opening remarks, in which he describes the debate over identity documentation and the use of biometrics as important to the lives of Canadians. Mr. Coderre addresses the need to improve document integrity, protect against terrorism and identity theft, and meet international requirements.
