Former VIA Rail president Marc LeFrançois testifies about VIA’s involvement with the government sponsorship program. Questions are posed by Joe Jordan (parliamentary secretary to the president of the Treasury Board) and by MPs Vic Toews (Conservative), Mario Laframboise (Bloc Québécois), Jason Kenney (Conservative), and Marcel Proulx (Liberal).

Following this, committee chair John Williams and Rob Walsh (law clerk and parliamentary counsel in the House of Commons) discuss procedural matters.
