Public Record - 2004 Canadian Bar Association Annual Conference (Part 1 of 4)


The Canadian Bar Association (CBA) holds its annual conference in Winnipeg, Man., August 14–17, 2004. This year’s conference theme is “Law Beyond Borders.”

In this August 14th session, Beverley McLachlin (Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada) and Diane Marcelin (the president of the Canadian Superior Courts Judges Association) make opening remarks.

Afterwards, Eric Lister (chair of the Bar Association’s Resolutions, Constitution, and By-Laws Committee) introduces various CBA policy resolutions and amendments. CBA delegates then vote on these issues.
