The Teachers Institute on Canadian Parliamentary Democracy hosts a conference, Ottawa, Ont., November 7, 2002. Teachers from across the country meet to enhance their knowledge of the parliamentary system. In this session, Canadian senators discuss parliamentary democracy and answer questions from audience members. Participants include senators Jane Cordy (Liberal) and Tommy Banks (Liberal). The discussion is moderated by Heather Lank (the principal clerk of the Senate of Canada).
