Opposition leader Thomas Mulcair opens debate with questions about delays in a $15 billion Chinese takeover bid for Canadian oil company Nexen. Liberal leader Bob Rae asks about the government’s response to a federal inquest into the 2007 suicide of prison inmate Ashley Smith. The government is also asked about overspending by Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Peter Penashue during his 2011 election campaign and about new Statistics Canada data on access to Employment Insurance.
