Opposition leader Thomas Mulcair poses a number of questions to Prime Minister Stephen Harper concerning the ongoing Senate expenses scandal, focusing on a $90,000 cheque given to Senator Mike Duffy in March 2013 by Nigel Wright, Mr. Harper’s chief of staff at the time. The questions come on the heels of a Senate vote to suspend Mr. Duffy, along with senators Patrick Brazeau and Pamela Wallin, without pay. The government also faces questions about the release of pensions for military personnel injured while on duty and about a proposed replacement for the Champlain Bridge in Montreal, Que.
