In recognition of the 24th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre, in which fourteen women were killed at École Polytechnique, the government faces questions about its strategies for eliminating violence against women.

Paul Calandra (parliamentary secretary to the prime minister) is asked about developments in the unfolding Senate expenses scandal, including the release of e-mails sent by Benjamin Perrin (former counsel to the Prime Minister’s Office).

Members pay tribute to former South African president Nelson Mandela, who died on December 5th, 2013, at the age of 95.
