Question Period - February 27, 2014

Opposition leader Thomas Mulcair asks the government for evidence of electoral fraud to justify amendments proposed in the government’s Fair Elections Act (Bill C-23). Megan Leslie (the NDP MP for Halifax, N.S.) makes an emotional plea for a national inquiry into missing and murdered Aboriginal women, highlighting the recent murder of Loretta Saunders (an Inuk woman from Labrador).

There are also questions about infrastructure funding for municipalities and about allegations that Conservative Senator David Tkachuk interfered with a Deloitte audit of Senate expenses claims.
