Question Period - March 4, 2014

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is asked about Canada’s response to intensifying unrest between Russian and Ukraine. Pierre Poilievre, minister of state for democratic reform, is faced with another onslaught of criticisms of the Fair Elections Act (Bill C-23). The day’s criticisms focus on changes to voter identification requirements at polling stations.

There are also questions about cuts to VIA Rail services, support for struggling grain farmers, and the cost of television advertisements for the government’s Economic Action Plan that aired during the 2014 Academy Awards.
