The government faces questions about Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s alleged use of a government jet for partisan purposes. Newly appointed Finance Minister Joe Oliver fields questions about income splitting, household debt, and departmental spending. Pierre Poilievre (minister of state for democratic reform) responds to more inquires about Bill C-23, the Fair Elections Act, including concerns raised by former chief electoral officer Jean-Pierre Kingsley during a House of Commons committee hearing. The government is also asked about the Supreme Court’s rejection of Marc Nadon’s judicial appointment.
