Chris Alexander (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration) faces a barrage of questions about government-sponsored Syrian refugees, proposed changes to the Citizenship Act contained in Bill C-24, and his own earlier claim that Pierre Trudeau’s 1977 citizenship reforms “cheapened Canadian citizenship.” The government also responds to inquiries about the proposed purchase of F-35 fighter jets and the construction of the Northern Gateway oilsands pipeline.
