Following a gathering of Canada’s premiers at the Council of the Federation, Paul Calandra (Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister) faces questions about federal–provincial relations and Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s apparent unwillingness to meet with the first ministers. Steven Blaney (Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness) is asked about the ability of the Security Intelligence Review Committee (SIRC) to provide adequate oversight for CSIS.
