Prime Minister Stephen Harper responds to inquiries from Opposition leader Thomas Mulcair concerning the case of Mohamed Fahmy, a Canadian journalist tried and imprisoned in Egypt. Later, asked about the government’s response to the Supreme Court ruling allowing physician-assisted suicide, Mr. Harper refuses to rule out the use of the constitutional “notwithstanding clause.” The government also faces renewed questions about new investigative powers for CSIS being proposed in Bill C-51, the Anti-terrorism Act.
