In their final encounter of the parliamentary session, Tom Mulcair (leader of the Official Opposition) questions Prime Minister Stephen Harper extensively on a wide range of topics, including controversial remarks by Tom Lawson, Canada’s chief of defence staff, about sexual misconduct in the Armed Forces; the role of the prime minister in the allegedly illegal destruction of RCMP data related to the federal gun registry; the ongoing criminal trial of former Conservative senator Mike Duffy; the possible unconstitutionality of provisions contained in Bill C-51, the Anti-terrorism Act; the loss of Canadian manufacturing jobs; and cuts to services for veterans.
