1st Session—35th Parliament

Ahead of the October 30, 1995, Quebec referendum on sovereignty, Lucien Bouchard (the leader of the Official Opposition) presses Prime Minister Jean Chrétien on Quebec’s status as a distinct society and the lessons learned from the failed Meech Lake and Charlottetown accords.
