The fate of the proposed Canada and European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement remains uncertain. The European Council is still trying to get Belgium to sign the deal, that has been rejected by Wallonia. In Ottawa, the Liberal government maintains that it has done all in its power to push the Trade Agreement through and states that the ball is now in the European court. The following MPs discuss this issue: David Almetta (Liberal Party), Pierre Paul-Hus (Conservative Party), Pierre Mantel (NDP), and Luc Thibault (Bloc Québécois). Pierre Donais welcomes Raoul Décorde, Belgium’s Ambassade to Canada. Steven Blarney is joining the Conservative Party leadership race. He outlines his plans to strengthen the Canadian integration process for immigrants.
