The Special Committee on Electoral Reform has tabled its report. Not surprisingly, the Committee Opposition party members, representing the majority, have voiced that a referendum should be held in order to consult the citizens on a voting system based on some form of proportional representation. However, the Committee Liberal members have labelled these recommendations drastic and hasty. Pierre Donais welcomes the following MPs to discuss this issue: Sherry Romanado (Liberal Party), Jacques Gourde (Conservative Party), Alexandre Boulerice (NDP), and Luc Thériault (Bloc Québécois). Reporters Manon Cornelier (Le Devoir) and Joël-Denis Bellavance recap the week’s political events.
