Prime Minister Trudeau has begun a week-long trip to Asia, where he will attend the APEC summit, in Vietnam, and the ASEAN meeting, in the Philippines. Pierre Donais welcomes Ferry de Kerckhove, from the University of Ottawa’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, to explore the issues at stake on this trip.
MPs Matt DeCourcey (Liberal), Joël Godin (Conservative), Karine Trudel (NDP) and Simon Marcil (Bloc Québécois) also share their views on this topic.
According to the Canadian Institute for Health Information, health care costs are rising faster than the rate of inflation. Pierre Donais examines this trend with Canadian Medical Association president Dr. Laurent Marcoux, who is proposing that the health care system be restructured to deal with our ageing population.
Drawing on four decades of radio and TV experience, Pierre has a reputation for being as personable as he is astute. He joined CPAC in 2003 to host Revue Politique, a nightly review of the day’s politics for Francophone viewers. He also delves into the personal with guests on Tête à Tête. A former anchor and journalist at TQS and Télémédia CIMF-FM in Outaouais, Pierre also served as radio host and station manager. He has recently completed his Master’s degree in law at the University of Ottawa.
