Official Languages Commissioner designate Raymond Théberge has cast doubt on the need for bilingual judges at the Supreme Court.

Reacting to these comments made before a Parliamentary committee are Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada president Jean Johnson and lawyer Gabriel Poliquin.

Pierre Donais welcomes the following MPs to discuss this issue: David Lametti (Liberal Party), Steven Blaney (Conservative Party), Brigitte Sansoucy (NDP), and Michel Boudrias (Bloc Québécois).

According to some reports, the federal government will announce, next week, procurement of used fighter jets F-18 from Australia as a replacement solution for its aging CF-18 fighter jet fleet. Conference of Defence Associations Institute Matthew Overton expounds on this decision.
