David Frum
Conservative writer David Frum is probably best known for having coined the term "Axis of Evil' while working as a speechwriter for U.S. President George W. Bush. The son of legendary broadcaster Barbara Frum and dentist and real estate developer Murray Frum. Born in 1960 in Toronto, Frum attended both Yale (B.A. and M.A.) and Harvard Law School. Frum spent two years at the Wall Street Journal as editorial pages editor and another two at Forbes magazine as a columnist before joining the Bush White House as a speechwriter. In 2003, Frum left the White House and became a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a position he held until the spring of 2010 when his comments on health care where perceived to be unflattering towards the leadership of the Republican Party. Frum continues to contribute editorial pieces to various publications around the world and runs his own website, FrumForum.com. Ken Rockburn spoke to David Frum in Washington.
