Finance Minister Jim Flaherty discussed topics such as the European debt crisis and a proposal by NDP leadership candidate Brian Topp to raise the taxes for the wealthy. The Minister held a press conference in Ottawa after making an announcement regarding changes to improve the Registered Disability Savings Plan.

Labour Minister Lisa Raitt commented on the averted Air Canada strike. The airline and the union representing 6,800 flight attendants have agreed to binding arbitration.

NDP House Leader Joe Comartin responded to questions about Canada's new Supreme Court Justices, the government's plan to eliminate the long-gun registry, and the future of Libya.

Liberal National Defence critic John McKay also discussed the future of Libya.
