New Democrat MP Pat Martin spoke with reporters about his use of the f-word in a tweet, which was criticizing the Conservative government’s repeated use of closure.

NDP justice critic Jack Harris and Liberal House leader Marc Garneau commented on Canada’s F-35 fighter jet deal, which may be affected by U.S. budget cuts. While speaking to reporters today at the Halifax International Security Forum, Defence Minister Peter MacKay dismissed concerns that the F-35 fighter jet program could be cancelled.

Stéphane Dion, the Liberal critic for intergovernmental affairs and democratic reform, responded to questions about the party’s seat redistribution plan, which would not increase the number of seats in the House of Commons. The Conservatives are proposing to add 30 more seats, including three for Quebec.

Alexandrine Latendresse, the NDP’s associate remocratic reform critic, and André Bellavance, parliamentary affairs critic for the Bloc Québécois, reacted to the Liberals’ seat redistribution plan.
