Parliamentary secretary to the prime minister Dean Del Mastro, deputy government whip Harold Albrecht and Conservative MP Stephen Woodworth commented on the OAS protests in MP offices. Seniors and activists occupied the offices of 20 Conservative MPs in Ontario over possible Old Age Security changes.

NDP house leader Joe Comartin spoke to reporters about the federal government's directive on the use of information that may have been obtained through torture, as well as the Conservatives' repeated use of time allocation to limit debate on bills.

NDP deputy finance critic Robert Chisholm and interim Liberal leader Bob Rae discussed their concerns over the trade and investment agreements that have been reached between Canada and China. Prime Minister Stephen Harper's four-day trip to China is focused on trade and energy.
