Finance Minister Jim Flaherty spoke to reporters about the federal budget, which he announced will be tabled on March 29.

NDP finance critic Peter Julian also discussed the upcoming budget with reporters.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister Dean Del Mastro discussed the robocalls controversy, as well as the Conservative government’s efforts to call former Liberal researcher Adam Carroll to testify before a parliamentary committee. Carroll resigned after he admitted that he was behind the Twitter campaign that targeted Public Safety Minister Vic Toews.

Associate Minister of National Defence Julian Fantino briefly spoke to reporters about calls that were allegedly sent from his office to RackNine, a company that provides automated calling services.

New Democrat MPs Charlie Angus and Alexandre Boulerice, interim Liberal leader Bob Rae, and Bloc Québécois leader Daniel Paillé responded to questions about fraudulent election calls.
