Interim NDP leader Nycole Turmel, interim Liberal leader Bob Rae and NDP democratic reform critic David Christopherson discussed the NDP's motion that calls on the government to increase Elections Canada's investigative powers. The MPs also responded to questions about a House of Commons committee's recent denial of the agency's request for more auditing powers.

Liberal MP Francis Scarpaleggia spoke to reporters about the complaints that he has received from Canadians about misleading and fraudulent election calls.

NDP MP Pat Martin and Bloc Québécois leader Daniel Paillé commented on the Conservative Party's decision to withdraw its appeal at the Supreme Court of Canada regarding an "in and out" dispute on election financing. They also discussed the ongoing robocalls controversy.

Labour critics Yvon Godin (NDP) and Rodger Cuzner (Liberal) commented on the possible strike by Air Canada workers.
