Public Safety Minister Vic Toews and NDP Foreign Affairs critic Paul Dewar reacted to the ruling from the Federal Court of Appeal that terror suspect Mohamed Harkat should get a new hearing.

NDP leader Thomas Mulcair, interim Liberal leader Bob Rae and NDP National Defence critic Jack Harris spoke to reporters about the possible extension of Canada's mission in Afghanistan beyond 2014.

Conservative MP Stephen Woodworth responded to questions about his private member's motion on the definition of a human being, which is scheduled to be debated tomorrow in the House of Commons. Opposition leaders Thomas Mulcair and Bob Rae also spoke to reporters about the motion.
