Finance Minister Jim Flaherty discussed changes for the oversight of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. The changes are included in the omnibus budget implementation bill, which was tabled today.

NDP House leader Nathan Cullen, interim Liberal leader Bob Rae and Green Party leader Elizabeth May reacted to the planned overhaul of the government's environment policy that is contained in the budget bill.

Conservative Maxime Bernier, NDP Status of Women critic Niki Ashton and interim Liberal leader Bob Rae spoke to reporters about tonight's debate on the motion from Conservative MP Stephen Woodworth to define when human life begins. Prime Minister Stephen Harper said today that he will vote against the motion. The private member's motion is non-binding and a vote is expected in June or September.
