Natural Resources minister Joe Oliver defended the environmental measures contained in the budget implementation bill.

NDP House leader Nathan Cullen, NDP Finance critic Peggy Nash and NDP deputy Finance critic Guy Caron spoke to reporters about their party's call for the budget bill to be split into at least five smaller pieces of legislation so that it can be properly studied.

Green Party leader Elizabeth May discussed her opposition to the budget bill's environmental policy changes. Finance Minister Jim Flaherty spoke briefly about the bill.

Nathan Cullen commented after question period on the NDP's call to split the bill.

Bloc Québécois Natural Resources critic André Bellavance also discussed the budget bill.

Veterans Affairs minister Steven Blaney and NDP Veterans Affairs critic Peter Stoffer reacted to the report by Canada’s veterans ombudsman on the Veterans Review and Appeal Board.

Liberal House leader Marc Garneau responded to questions about the ruling by House Speaker Andrew Scheer on whether the government misled Parliament on F-35 costs.
