NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair and interim Liberal Leader Bob Rae spoke to reporters about remarks made by Prime Minister Stephen Harper on the European financial crisis. The Leader of the Official Opposition also discussed union sponsorships at the party's national convention last year, while Rae also responded to questions about whether he intends to run for the permanent leadership of the Liberal Party. New Democrat MP Yvon Godin and Liberal MP Dominic LeBlanc discussed the concerns raised by Atlantic Canada's four premiers about the impact of proposed EI changes on seasonal workers. The two MPs both represent ridings in New Brunswick. Conservative MP Larry Miller spoke about his suggestion that Canada should review its participation with the United Nations. Liberal House Leader Marc Garneau and Bloc Québécois leader Daniel Paillé also commented on this suggestion. Conservative MP Dan Albas discussed his private member's bill that would allow Canadians to transport or ship wine across provincial borders for personal use. The final vote for Bill C-311 is scheduled to take place tonight in the House of Commons. NDP House Leader Nathan Cullen responded to questions about the wine bill and about union sponsorships.
