Case # 34788 Attorney General of Canada, et al. v. Terri Jean Bedford, et al. (June 13, 2013) The respondents are former and current sex trade workers. The respondents challenged the constitutional validity of parts of the Criminal Code that relate to prostitution. The trial judge held that these provisions breach the respondents’ right to security of the person under section 7 section 2(b) of the Charter.
