The court hears arguments in case #28670, Eric Juri Miglin v. Linda Susan Miglin, October 29, 2002.
Eric and Linda Miglin were married, had four children, and operated a business together. In 1993, the couple separated. They agreed that the children would reside primarily with Ms. Miglin and Mr. Miglin would pay $60,000 per year for their support, among other financial arrangements. Later, Ms. Miglin applied for sole custody of the children, as well as child and spousal support, altering the terms of the original agreement. Mr. Miglin fought this in court and lost. He appealed to the Court of Appeal, which upheld the lower court’s award of support. He is now appealing that decision to the Supreme Court.
Lawyer Nicole Tellier presents arguments on behalf of Eric Juri Miglin.
