In this episode, Pierre speaks with Steven Blaney, Conservative MP for the Quebec riding of Lévis-Bellechasse. Mr. Blaney was elected in the federal election that took place on January 23, 2006. Having been active for several years with the Conservative Party of Canada, Blaney ran unsuccessfully for the Action démocratique du Québec in the 1998 provincial election in Beauce-Nord. Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Mr. Blaney has a background in civil engineering. The founder of two agri-food companies, he has also worked as a consultant with the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.
