In this episode, Pierre speaks with Tony Cannavino, president of the Canadian Professional Police Association. Mr. Cannavino started his policing career in 1972 as an officer with the Sûreté du Québec. During his 31-year career, he worked in the Outaouais region and in Montreal. In 1985, he launched his union career as the director of the Outaouais chapter of the Association des policiers provinciaux du Québec. In 2003, he became the first president of the newly formed Canadian Professional Police Association.
Drawing on four decades of radio and TV experience, Pierre has a reputation for being as personable as he is astute. He joined CPAC in 2003 to host Revue Politique, a nightly review of the day’s politics for Francophone viewers. He also delves into the personal with guests on Tête à Tête. A former anchor and journalist at TQS and Télémédia CIMF-FM in Outaouais, Pierre also served as radio host and station manager. He has recently completed his Master’s degree in law at the University of Ottawa.
