In this episode, Pierre speaks with Roch Carrier, poet, storywriter, novelist, playwright, essayist, and former National Librarian of Canada. Roch Carrier became the fourth National Librarian of Canada in 1999. He is considered one of Canada's greatest writers, and a number of his novels are considered classics. Mr. Carrier has held teaching positions at the University of Montreal and at le Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean, in Quebec, where, in 1986, he became dean of the Faculty of Administration and Humanities. He was appointed rector in1990.
