In this episode, Pierre speaks with Paul Genuist, an author from Victoria, B.C. Mr. Genuist was born in the French city of Rennes. Following a successful career as a university lecturer, including a stint at the University of Saskatchewan until 1994, Mr. Genuist decided to retire and settle in Victoria. He speaks regularly at the Alliance-Française de Victoria, and has written several books and articles on the 17th century and various aspects of Francophone culture in Western Canada. For eight years he has contributed articles on French books to Moustique, Victoria's French-language newspaper.
