In this episode, Pierre Donais sits down with Maria Mourani. Born in the Ivory Coast city of Abidjan to parents of Lebanese origin, Maria Mourani arrived in Canada in 1998. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Master’s in Sociology from the Université de Montréal. On January 23rd, 2006, she was elected to the federal parliament as a Bloc Québécois MP for the Montreal riding of Ahuntsic, and was subsequently re-elected on October 14, 2008. She is the author of a book on street gangs entitled ” La face cachée des gangs de rue.”
Drawing on four decades of radio and TV experience, Pierre has a reputation for being as personable as he is astute. He joined CPAC in 2003 to host Revue Politique, a nightly review of the day’s politics for Francophone viewers. He also delves into the personal with guests on Tête à Tête. A former anchor and journalist at TQS and Télémédia CIMF-FM in Outaouais, Pierre also served as radio host and station manager. He has recently completed his Master’s degree in law at the University of Ottawa.
