Pierre Donais welcomes Bernard Grandmaître.
Bernard Grandmaître was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in a 1984 by-election. He was subsequently re-elected in 1985, 1987, 1990, and 1995. During his last term as the Liberal MPP for Ottawa East, he was francophone affairs critic and chairman of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts. Grandmaître also held several ministerial posts, including municipal affairs, revenue, and francophone affairs. In 1995, he was awarded the Ordre de La Pléiade medal, an honour from the Francophonie and the Assemblée internationale des parlementaires de langue française.
Drawing on four decades of radio and TV experience, Pierre has a reputation for being as personable as he is astute. He joined CPAC in 2003 to host Revue Politique, a nightly review of the day’s politics for Francophone viewers. He also delves into the personal with guests on Tête à Tête. A former anchor and journalist at TQS and Télémédia CIMF-FM in Outaouais, Pierre also served as radio host and station manager. He has recently completed his Master’s degree in law at the University of Ottawa.
