In this episode, Pierre Donais interviews Senator Andrée Champagne. Senator Andrée Champagne worked previously as an actress, singer, author, producer as a business owner who opened Montreal’s first casting agency. In 1984, she left show business and was elected to the House of Commons as the MP for Saint-Hyacinthe-Bagot au Québec. In the course of her political career, she held various ministerial portfolios in the Mulroney government. In August 2005, she was appointed to the Senate of Canada, where she sits as a Conservative.
Drawing on four decades of radio and TV experience, Pierre has a reputation for being as personable as he is astute. He joined CPAC in 2003 to host Revue Politique, a nightly review of the day’s politics for Francophone viewers. He also delves into the personal with guests on Tête à Tête. A former anchor and journalist at TQS and Télémédia CIMF-FM in Outaouais, Pierre also served as radio host and station manager. He has recently completed his Master’s degree in law at the University of Ottawa.
