In this episode, Pierre Donais speaks with to Jean-Guy Dagenais. Jean-Guy Dagenais was appointed as a Conservative senator by Prime Minister Stephen Harper on January 17, 2012. Before he became a senator, Mr. Dagenais worked as a policeman with the Sûreté du Québec from 1972 to 2011. He held various positions, including patrolman, investigator, team leader, and education relations officer with schools. He also worked in the communications division and the VIP Security service. In 2004, he was also elected President of the Association des policières et policiers provinciaux du Québec. During the 2011 General Election, he ran as a Conservative in the Quebec riding of Saint-Hyacinthe—Bagot.
Drawing on four decades of radio and TV experience, Pierre has a reputation for being as personable as he is astute. He joined CPAC in 2003 to host Revue Politique, a nightly review of the day’s politics for Francophone viewers. He also delves into the personal with guests on Tête à Tête. A former anchor and journalist at TQS and Télémédia CIMF-FM in Outaouais, Pierre also served as radio host and station manager. He has recently completed his Master’s degree in law at the University of Ottawa.
