Glen travels along the Yukon Silver Trail, learning about its rich, colourful history. The Yukon is synonymous with salmon, but a lack of Chinook salmon in the Yukon River has led to the closure of commercial and domestic fisheries. Glen speaks with Frank Quinn and Sandy Johnston (Fisheries and Oceans Canada). Glen travels to Dawson City to learn how the Tr'ondek Hwech'in Han Nation are taking the lead in conservation and educating their youth on preserving the salmon stock. He speaks with Chief Darren Taylor and elder Angie Joseph-Rear. Glen stops at Mayo, Elsa, and Keno City and talks to local historians who give us a glimpse into life in a Northern frontier mining town. He speaks with Anne Leckie (Mayo Historical Society) and Yvonne Bessette (Keno Mining Museum) Glen also asks people from the Northwest Territories and Nunavut what makes their part of Canada so unique.
