The Week with Mark Sutcliffe

September 20, 2009

In the program’s first episode, host Mark Sutcliffe and his guests hear the views of Canadians on the week’s major political news stories.

New Democratic Party leader Jack Layton joins Mark in the studio for a discussion about key developments in the House of Commons, including proposed reforms to the Employment Insurance system and a confidence vote that has kept the Conservative minority government in power. Additional topics of debate include Health Canada’s delivery of body bags to First Nations communities along with H1N1 “swine flu” prevention kits.
