OCTOBER 19: DECISION DAY This Monday Canadians cast their ballots, ending one of the longest federal election campaigns in Canadian history. After weeks of public opinion surveys indicating a national three-way race, the Liberals now track well ahead of other parties. Are these polls right? Do they signal change and a new Liberal government? What were some of the campaign's key turning points? From controversial Tory advertising to a Liberal adviser's questionable email offering lobbying advice—how much impact will events during this last critical week have on the outcome?
