for covering the CABC. The most informative part is the public relations strategists of both the Democrats and the GOP campaigns. They never talked about policy or political philosophy. Rather they were concerned with what to tell the dumb voter and most importantly for the GOP, what does the dumb voter want to hear. Penny Lee and Aaron Leibowitz are professional propagandists. Noam Chomsky's analysis on US politics is dead on. He says a real successful propagandist has to have it in their bones. Penny Lee is a great example. She actually believes the BS she spews. A great example is when she says that "7.9% unemployment the highest ever for an incumbent president". Really? ? ? ? I guess Ms. Lee never heard of the Great Depression and a President by the name for Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Yep, the US democracy is totally broken thanks to a 2 party system that is hard to the right and infomercials that pass a political discourse. My concern is that Canadian politics is moving in the same direction. Monkey see, monkey do.
