I find it allarming that this site is not overwhelmed with comments from Vets, guess the brain washing holds strong forever.
Thanks for the nice effort, however, the show could easily have been part 1 of a series of at least 10 more shows. Most of what was covered is already known: VRAB and VAC are intentionally malfeasant and no one cares; Ombuddy has no teeth and no one cares; and, VAC adjudication is playing 50/50 game = half will not fight and half of remaining half will give up (actually only aprox 5% will fight to end) and no one cares; and, there are homeless Vets and very few people seem to care. The only new disclosure I saw was the young lad stateing that either you are messed up when you join the CF or you are messed up when you leave. So much has been missed: such as how VAC utilizes CF brain washing against the Vet; how the CF mitigates their soldiers involvement with VAC and limits knowledge; the effects of how a CF General modified the CF health care system and then consulted for VAC ie.. in aprox 2008 CF H Svcs were instructed (MO's) not to complete portions of a sick chit (CF2018-E) indicating "Possible duty injury" etc..; why do MO's try to wean soldiers of treatments prior to their release medicals; how effective is the tri party agreement between the CF SISIP and VAC; how effective is SISIP; is priority hiring effective; basics of disabilty claim submissions ie.. do the VAC Pension Officers job yourself and never let a VAC doctor look at you but instead use a specialist whom is prepared to best fit quote VAC's table of disabilities; basics of claim appeal ie.. you take your chances if you use BPA whom is not practicing a type of law that requires an actual lawyer, and always do a departmental review before going down the VRAB appeal dead end road; are rehabilitation plans effective or are they just smoke and mirrors to mitigate costs; how is VAC mitigating TPI and PIA's; how is VAC able to manipulate financing of benefits so as to long term mitigate costs/cease benefits; and, so much more.
In summary, the only part of the show that impressed me was the young lads personal general statement about the effects of joining the CF, although I disagree with the statement it has potential for positive change only because the reality is that neither SISIP VRAB BPA CF nor VAC will ever become fully accountable in relation to veteran issues and as such will continue to fail to meet the intent and or adhere to the applicabal laws, change may apparantly only be forced by adversly effecting recruitment (thats one of the reasons SISIP came to be), however beware as such an activity may be represented as an NDA offense.
Please continue your efforts and hopefully somehow get a 10 part series aired on ABC and CBC, certainly there is more than enough ammo out there already that is increasing daily. Perhaps possible if the NDP ever form a minority as apparantly having no claim to faim relative to the New Charter.
