Canadian workers competing with cheap foreign labor in other countries is difficult enough, but to have to compete with it at home is just too much. It has been demonstrated to have disastrous social effects. The unskilled jobs filled by young people, the second worker in a two income family or older people just to name a few will be taken up by less than minimum wage imported workers. Our society will have created a new class of permanent foreign workers with fewer rights then Canadians.
