(Ottawa, March 21, 2012) – Join CPAC tonight for the documentary premiere of The NDP: A Party at the Crossroads. Ahead of this weekend’s NDP Leadership Convention in Toronto, CPAC offers a unique look at the Official Opposition and its road to power. The documentary recounts the history of the party, from its roots as the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) in the 1930s, the party founding in 1961, through to its historic electoral success in the 2011 election. Looking ahead, it examines the importance of the leadership vote following the death of Jack Layton. See interviews with former NDP Leaders Ed Broadbent and Alexa McDonough, former NDP MP Bill Blaikie and former Ontario NDP Leader, Stephen Lewis, and more.
