(Ottawa, January 19, 2012) – This Sunday, CPAC will replay Piers Morgan’s December testimony at the Leveson Inquiry. The public inquiry, tasked by British Prime Minister David Cameron to look into phone hacking and policy bribery allegations by News of the World and other British tabloid newspapers published by News International, began hearings in 2011 and are ongoing. Morgan, host of CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight, is the former editor of News of the World and the Daily Mirror. He appeared by live satellite link on December 20 where he testified that he was not aware of phone hacking at the Daily Mirror while under his watch.
