(Ottawa, July 9, 2012) – Turn to CPAC Tuesday for coverage from Canada’s highest court as it considers the dispute over 2011 election results in Etobicoke-Centre. In the 41st Canadian General Election on May 2 of last year, Conservative candidate Ted Opitz won the Ontario riding with a plurality of 26 votes. Liberal candidate Borys Wrzesnewskyj contested the results before the provincial courts with the Ontario Superior Court declaring the election null and void on the ground of certain votes not being registered or vouched for.
