How did party leaders and MPs spend their summer? Glen McInnis shows us what Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles Duceppe were up to. Heather Seaman caught up with Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff during his cross-country tour. Heather also met NDP Leader Jack Layton in Toronto to discuss his summer break from Parliament.
Puneet Birgi provides a sample of the MPs who volunteered for worthy causes this summer. Included are Conservative MPs Mike Lake and Blake Richards, and New Democrat MP Megan Leslie.
Parliamentarians also participated in hundreds of cultural events while away from Ottawa. Puneet has stories from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland.
